James M. Gracy PA-C

James Gracy, PA-C received his Bachelor's degree from Northern Michigan University and graduated from the Physician Assistant program at Mercy College of Detroit in 1989.  Following graduation, he worked in the emergency department at Detroit Receiving Hospital.  Later, James accepted a position at William Beaumont Hospital where he worked in the cardiothoracic and vascular surgery department.

In 1991, James joined the Burns Clinic and became the first Physician Assistant to be on staff at Northern Michigan Hospital where he worked with the cardiac and thoracic surgeons until 2011.  He remains on staff and works weekends with the Petoskey Surgeons.

In 2006, he started treating vein problems in the office as new technology took the treatment from the operating room to the physician's office.  Since then, James has treated well over 7000 patients.  He has been a provider with Petoskey Surgeons since 2014.  During his cardiothoracic and vascular surgery years, he assisted in over 5000 open heart surgeries.

James is a fellow with the American Academy of Physician's Assistants.

Education, communication, patient comfort and satisfaction define James's practice.

James resides in Harbor Springs, is married and has two children.  He is an avid downhill skier and also enjoys hockey, bicycling and motorcycling.
