Andrea Parsons, DO

Dr. Andrea Parsons is a general and bariatric surgeon, with expertise in the treatment of obesity, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), hiatal hernias. She is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care through advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgical techniques that promote faster recovery and lasting results. Her particular interests include bariatric surgery (gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy), hiatal hernia repair, and minimally invasive colon surgery.

Dr. Parsons earned her medical degree from Rocky Vista University, where she also completed advanced studies in rural and wilderness medicine. She went on to complete her General Surgery residency at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital, where she was chief surgical resident during her 5th year. She then completed a fellowship in Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery at McLaren Flint- Michigan State University.

Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and staying active through outdoor activities and adventures with her family.
