He chose to live in Petoskey, and the Harbor Springs area over 10 years ago after falling in love with the breathtaking nature and incredible people of Northern Michigan.

He has a special interest in minimally invasive vascular surgery, dialysis access creation and maintenance, venous interventions, aortic surgery, carotid interventions including TCAR, and peripheral open and hybrid vascular interventions.
Dr. Sharapov, along with Dr. Jeffrey Beaudoin, developed the first outpatient based interventional laboratory in Northern Michigan, north of 45th parallel, that has been serving the citizens of the Northern Michigan and Upper Peninsula for over 4 years. He pioneered systematic cutting-edge complex abdominal wall reconstruction here in Northern Michigan over a period of 10 years that gave hope to patients with multiply failed abdominal hernia interventions and reconstructions.
Dr. Anton – as his patients call him – stays current with the latest in vascular care and abdominal wall reconstructive surgery through attendance of mini fellowships, biolabs, and numerous workshops.
Dr. Sharapov is certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, American Board of Surgery, American Board of Vascular Surgery, and the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
When the opportunity came to join Petoskey Surgeons, it was an easy decision. Dr. Sharapov is married and has 3 children. In this spare time, he loves to support local churches and charities, read poetry, travel, work on restoring and repairing his constantly perennially malfunctioning EarthRoamer (that takes his family to adventurous destinations all over the USA) ski, bike, build decks and treehouses, collect his Mother’s art (https://www.nutaboutart.com) and spend time with his family.
Dr. Sharapov’s wife, a native of Wisconsin, Darcie Sharapova, is a board certified family doctor practicing with Alcona Health here in Petoskey and Harbor Springs area.
